Two CCK trucks win at Taste of Buffalo

News July 2026 · Downtown Buffalo

Taste of Buffalo is the largest two-day food festival in the United States, and its awards are judged by a panel of more than sixty food judges. This year two of the winners prep in our kitchen.

Street Cravings — Rookie of the Year

Street Cravings won the Louis J. Billittier Sr. Rookie of the Year award in their first Taste of Buffalo. Pastelitos, steak sandwiches, fish — "Never leave hangry" is the motto on the truck, and the judges clearly didn't. Their apple dump cake also took best dessert at Taste of Clarence last summer, so this is becoming a habit.

Nickel City Vice — Best Dessert

Nickel City Vice, the gourmet ice-cream-sandwich truck, won Best Dessert for an entry called You're Nuts. Every sandwich on that truck is built in a licensed kitchen at 9580 Main — the cookies, the ice cream, all of it.
